Welcome to a unique opportunity: welcome to the historic Fort Chambray.
Tucked away within splendid fortress walls and built on a hill known as 'Ras it-Tafal' is Jacques de Chambray’s exceptional construction. Chambray was born into a noble family from Evreux in Normandy and arrived in Malta aged just 13, to serve as page to the grandmaster Roccaful.
Since the year 1755 this fort has been restored from a garrison intended to protect the Gozitan population from attacks to a haven of lush and luxurious real estate. The development comprises a number of new residential blocks built in stone by local tradesmen using traditional methods. The typology and clustering of the buildings have been so adopted in order to create a traditional, local village core environment in a modern interpretation to render the entire Fortified City an upmarket, unique development.
Please share the charm of this fortress city on Malta’s sister island, Gozo and click here should you wish to arrange a visit to the site.
